I am a published author, editor, writing coach and speaker. My passion for writing started many years ago on the island of Jamaica as an avid reader of classics. My mother was an English Literary teacher and librarian for a high school, so my passion was birthed because of my environment. I was always fascinated with words - how they sounded, what they described and the messages they conveyed. I wrote my first short story at 15, and it was published nationally in a magazine. I relocated to the US at age 16. I started blogging around 2007 on MySpace, and my readers started to ask when I would release a book - so I wrote my first book "It's My Life and I Live Here: One Woman's Story" in 2010 and published it in 2011. I began editing books officially in 2015 (after editing unofficially for more than 20 years). My editing repertoire includes doctoral dissertations that were accepted by the doctoral boards. "Write That Book: Tips for New Authors" was released in 2018 in response to repeated requests for details on publishing books. After my book was released, I began hosting writing workshops in 2019 due to continued demand from aspiring authors. Today I am coaching authors in private groups and one-on-one, editing books, and taking them all the way to publishing. I am also hosting in-person events to help as many authors as possible to complete their books while they learn about marketing via invited professionals. I have one adult son.
